3M Crystalline Film for Windshield Tinting

3M's New Crystalline Automotive Window Films for your vehicle are without question, the absolute best quality window film products available in the world marketplace. 3M has set a benchmark for all other products to strive for, producing a virtually clear window film product which reduces heat a minimum of 50%. Verified by the Skin Cancer Foundation to block ultraviolet radiation by 99.99%, these films are recommended for use in preventitive medicine efforts. Patients suffering from skin conditions, eye conditions, and even migraine headaches, can benefit from the protection offered by this phenominal window film. The crystalline window film is extremely expensive, but remember, this is clear protection for health benefit purposes. The 3M line of Crystalline automotive window film materials are manufactured in light shades or clear only. Now for Windshield Tinting, you can choose from a complete selection of World Class Quality Films that set the standard for color, clarity, construction and warranty. Don't settle for anything less than the best 3M film for your car; their latest achievement being this creation of exotic nano crystalline automotive windshield films that offer most of the benefits of dark and limo, yet have little or no color.

3M has developed this advanced technology window film with focus directly on the infrared part of the solar spectrum. It is specifically designed to reduce incoming heat without using metals or dyes to do so. Now, even the light that fills your car can be just the way you want it. If it is necessary to get all the benefits of a performance window film, without the appearance of any such, crystalline is the right choice for you. It is illegal to have any window film applied to your car windows in some states. Who's going to know if it is a clear window film. The (IR) Infrared heat rejection provides an astounding increase in driver comfort, while a low interior reflectivity leaves your view clear and unobstructed with excellent brightness, especially at night. That powerful combination makes Crystalline Film a welcome addition to any automobile.

3M is Unveiling the World’s Finest Nano-technology Automotive Window Film: 3M Crystalline... protecting you better with some 350 passess of ultra thin oxides, providing 99.99% UV ultraviolet rejection and 97% IR infrared heat rejection. Recommended by The Skin Cancer Foundation, 3M Crystalline is the world’s best sun protection film for any application in extreme climates. With this launch, 3M will target auto film market segments as well as public health provider networks in an effort to capture 15-20% of market share.

3M has launched Crystalline Window Film in Asia and Pacific regions including Japan, China and Taiwan, where the product enjoys great success.  We anticipated the same positive reception from the US market.

To purchase 3M Crystalline film for ALL OTHER WINDOWS, click on one of these links below! This film is straight cut for each window, which means a seperate piece of material for each window, large enough to cover that window, is included, except windshield. Since most side windows range in height from 16" to 22", there is always some waste for which we both share the expense of. Newer cars may have side windows short in height, but it is likely you will have to pay for at least 18" in height anyhow, sorry!!    If you have questions, please feel free to call.

Get Off the Hot Seat - Consumer Digest August 2003
It's never fun to return to a vehicle with an interior that seems hotter than a barbecue grill on the Fourth of July. While many drivers place cardboard shades on the windshields, 3M has developed a Solar Reflecting Film that's permanent, transparent and keeps the car cooler even when it's moving. The film is already on the rear windshields of luxury cars. More automakers are expected to offer the film on their 2004 editions.

Business, Academia Prepare for the Age of Nanomanufacturing - Small Times April 30, 2003
Business and academic researchers from around the world gathered in Massachusetts for the first-ever symposium on nanomanufacturing. Speaker Richard Weiss, technical director, 3M Microreplication Tech Center, said one crucial step to nanotechnology's success will be to identify nanotech's "killer apps." For example, 3M works with nanoscale structures for optical components, thin-film coatings and abrasives.

Driving: Bells & Whistles; Cooling Film for Windows - New York Times March 28, 2003
A bulky cardboard shade propped in the windshield will help keep a parked car from heating up like an oven in the summer sun. But 3M has come up with something way cooler: Solar Reflecting Film, an ultra-thin sheet of clear plastic built into the windshield. It deflects the sun's heat and ultimately increases fuel efficiency. 3M hopes to expand the use of its film to windows for buses, trains and ships.

The 2003 Industrial Innovation Award - American Chemical Society May 2003
3M scientist Andrew J. Ouderkirk was presented a 2003 Industrial Innovation Award from the American Chemical Society for leading the team for developing reflective films used in everything from computer displays to architectural lighting. Inspired by the vibrant, changing colors of butterfly wings, the team used plastic materials to mimic the reflective surfaces found in nature. The invention is a major advance in optics.

The 2002 Photonics Circle of Excellence Awards - Photonics Spectra January 2003
Photonics Spectra magazine awarded 3M a 2002 Photonics Circle of Excellence Award for its all-polymer ultraviolet reflection filter made with 3M's proprietary multilayer film technology. Every year, Photonics Spectra recognizes the 25 most technically innovative optical products. The award cites the film's ability to block light up to about 420 nm with very little yellowness and an improved applicability for ophthalmic devices.

The film can replace existing filters for applications such as projection systems, UV reduction and scintillator detectors.

Polymer Optical Interference Filters - Optics & Photonics News November 2002
Polymers are increasingly used in the design and manufacture of photonics products. One class of polymer optical components provides product forms and functions achievable only via polymer optics. Specific applications include ultra high-efficiency reflectors and reflective polarizers. Recently, all-polymer wavelength separation filters for the photosensor industry have been developed. These filters offer new degrees of freedom to designers and manufacturers at both the component and device levels.
